Clinical Supervision
SESSIONS ARE ONE-ON-ONE, CONDUCTED VIA ZOOM, AND CAN BE COUNTED TOWARDS AUSTRALIAN ANNUAL CPD HOURS.
Clinical Supervision
These sessions are designed for clinicians from all therapeutic backgrounds who work with complex and dissociative clients.
The sessions are grounded in an understanding of developmental and attachment trauma and its impact on personality structure and the fragmentation of the sense of self, along with its ongoing effects on chronic nervous system dysregulation.
We delve deeply into part work, drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches, including Schema Therapy, Ego State Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). These frameworks help us understand clients' symptoms, presentations, therapeutic needs, and the dynamics that unfold within your sessions.
The following approaches and modalities guide my case conceptualisation, treatment planning, and supervision:
• The Theory of Structural Dissociation of the Personality: To understand how childhood trauma fragments the sense of self and impacts personality structure.
• The Polyvagal Theory: To explore how trauma affects the nervous system, survival coping mechanisms during traumatic events, and the ongoing biopsychosocial impact in the present.
• Somatic Strategies: To ground the nervous system when it is triggered beyond its window of tolerance.
• Ego State Therapy: To work with the different parts of the personality, each shaped by trauma, and their perspectives on the self, others, and the world.
• EMDR (Standard and Modified Versions): To process traumatic memories that influence clients’ perceptions, emotions, body sensations, behaviours, and responses to present situations.
• The Progressive Approach to EMDR: To combine part work with bilateral stimulation, enhancing information processing across parts of the personality, reducing dissociative phobia, fostering collaboration between parts, and preparing the system for EMDR.
My goal is to teach you these concepts, support your clinical growth, and meet your professional development needs.
