CONSULTATION SERVICES

Advanced Group Supervision

SESSIONS INCLUDE A MAXIMUM OF SIX PARTICIPANTS, ARE DELIVERED VIA ZOOM, AND CAN COUNT TOWARDS AUSTRALIAN ANNUAL CPD HOURS

** Working with complex presentations can be challenging but also fulfilling, rewarding and stimulating. I hope to convey the thrill and passion for the work in those supervision sessions**

These sessions are for clinicians of all therapeutic background and field, working with complex and dissociative clients. We use thorough case conceptualisation to understand the impact that clients' developmental and attachment trauma has had on symptomatic presentation, dysregulated nervous system and personality structure (i.e., parts of their sense of self - or modes in schema therapy).

Sessions are focused on your therapeutic skills and supervision needs. No need to be EMDR trained to participate. You will develop and strengthen your part work approach by deepening and expanding part exploration. I endeavour to meet you where you are in your professional development and skills, offer innovative approaches to working with parts of the personality, and gently challenge you. The following approaches and modalities guide my case conceptualisation, treatment planning and therefore supervision sessions:

- The Theory of Structural Dissociation of the Personality – to help understand the impact of childhood trauma on the fragmentation of the sense of self and personality structure
- The Polyvagal Theory – to help understand the impact of trauma on the nervous systems and related survival coping mechanisms during traumatic events, and their ongoing biopsychosocial influence in the present
- Somatic strategies – to help ground the nervous system when triggered outside of its window of tolerance
- Ego state therapy - to work with the different parts of the personality and their trauma influenced perspective of the self, others and the world
- EMDR (standard and modified versions) – to help process traumatic memories that impact clients' perception, understanding, emotions, body sensations, behaviours and urges to present situations
- The Progressive Approach to EMDR - to combine part work and the bilateral stimulations of EMDR to enhance information processing among and across parts of the personality structure, reduce dissociative phobia, create collaboration between parts, and prepare the system to/for EMDR
